Ten-inch thin-crust gluten-free pizza. From a reader: “Yesterday we went to BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Jantzen Beach. We tried their gluten free pizza. After we ordered, the manager stopped by the table to confirm we ordered the GF pizza and explained the process. She explained that the cooks use different utensils, clean the prep area, and use fresh ingredients and she would supervisor the cooks that the process was done correctly. The best part: the pizza–10in thin crust with 3 toppings for $10.95–was awesome, well worth the drive to Jantzen Beach. Another one for your Gluten free Pizza list. Extreme Pizza
Pizza, Salads, Subs – Recently added gluten free pizza to their menu. We have been told they are still in the process of updating their menu to reflect this. In the meantime, their staff has been trained on what items are and are not suitable for GF requests. The GF pizza crust is provided by Still Riding Pizza. Gluten Free beer available as well. To prevent cross-contamination, the owner writes, “we store the GF pizza crusts in separate, closed packaging, as well as use specified GF pizza trays and cutting tools.”

Pizza, Take-out and Delivery – Also available are gluten-free bbq ribs and gluten-free mini-cheesecakes. The owner of Garlic Jim’s Vancouver/Salmon Creek writes: “To help prevent cross-contamination, we use separate pizza screens for baking, separate cutting utensils, and use corn meal and rice flour for ‘tossing’ the non-gluten-free dough.” Gluten-free items are marked on the menu.

Pizzeria – A take-and-bake 12″ gluten-free pizza dough is now being offered for $5.00 by this well-know local pizza chain. Ingredients are as follows: almond flour, corn flour, corn meal, sweet white rice flour, baking powder, salt, milk, arrow root, flaxseed meal, and egg whites. Their website does note, however, that the “pizza dough is produced and baked in an environment that is not free of gluten.”
