I love Chez Machin's delicious food, and was thrilled to move just a few blocks away from them. Their GF crepes are better than most "normal crepes." However, I have a serious food allergy to avocado, and have twice had problems with them not taking enough care with my food, resulting in serious reactions (I know, my fault for going back, but I loved it so much I wanted to try again.)
My gluten intolerance is not nearly as severe as my avocado allergy, and I never had a gluten-related issue with them, but it should be noted that they are not as careful as they are tasty, and it might be good to be aware of this if you are extremely sensitive/celiac.

There is a new food cart, Holy Crepe, in a parking lot on the corner of SE Division and 50th. They serve gluten free savory and sweet crepes. They are thinner, crumbly and dry. I've only had a savory crepe from here and the ingredients were very good. I prefer Chez Machin, but the cart is affordable and quick. They too cook on the same surface for their "regular" crepes.

Hi there! This review was very helpful to me because I own a crepe cart on the west side--Crêpes à la Carte. We are brand new this year (open 2 days a week at the farmer's market) and have had a lot of requests for GF crepes. I'm working on a recipe to knock your socks off. :)

I'm also a big fan of Chez Machin.... Their cooking style lends to a softer crepe though, where I try for a bit more crunch, a more waffle-like experience.
